In the previous Camera app, in pro Mode there was an option to set the shutter speed. What happened to that option? It was great for really dark occasions.

Is there a workaround or something? Preferably not having to install another camera app?

Before the update in PRO mode you coul set manual shutter speed while leaaving ISO set to auto. Now in OneUI when you want to set shutter speed you have to also set ISO - the button Auto under ISO is greyed out. New Camera App is horrible. In video mode you cannot set anything ISO, shutter speed or manual focus. This is horrible. After 4 months Samsung apologizes for the inconvenience and confirms they have no plans to bring this back! The difference between IPhone and Samsung is that iPhone let's 3rd party apps have full access to Camera Hardware which is not the case for Samsung. I will never ever buy Samsung phone again. #DegradedCamera #DoWhatyouCantInPieAnymore

Hi, I have a Samsung phone which I am going to replace soon. I want to use the new phone a lot more for photography and video. Your comments about Samsung removing features which allowed you control over your phone are cause for concern. I dislike the way Samsung block a lot of functionality to 3rd party apps. I heard that anyone using the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 cannot use the DJI App to use the wide or 2x cameras. If this is the case this is very disappointing. Also, the maximum shutter speed of 10 seconds is very poor, when other phones like Google's Pixel, Huawei's P30 Pro, or Apples XS Max allow much longer exposures. This is an important feature for low light photography. I like so much that their S10 phones offer, superb screens, great audio, flexible user-friendly UI, and more but this apparent lack of support in other areas for consumers and 3rd party products and apps, makes me seriously consider dropping Samsung. This is a shame having been a consumer of theirs for since the S3, having moved over from Apple. I would love to stat with Samsung but dropping features and functionality with their updates is really putting me off spending my money on their products. Any suggestions on the best platform going forward and why are welcome.

Hi all,
just discovered that the Sony Experia 1 comes with two native camera apps - Normal and Pro -
look for "Cinema Pro App" on youtube to get an idea. It lets you take full control of the videos. Looks very promising and I like the concept of splitting pro and normal camera apps.

Finally checking out official Sony Xperia support forums I can see Official Sony Xperia Support Staff responding to their customers and addressing their issues..... Makes so much difference to me!!!!

It seems that Sony took a dramatic turn in their Marketing tone as they were not supporting PRO features and 3rd party ups up until last year on their Xperia 1. Anyone here has any good or bad experience with Sony and their Pro Cinema App?
