This fault occurred after the most recent update of my S9. When my phone disconnects from a WiFi network (whether manually or once out of range) my phone will display either a 4g or H+ but no data is sent or received and apps/browser will confirm the phone is offline. The only way I can get mobile data to work again is to either toggle it off and on or go into flight mode for a short time.
This happens on any WiFi network (home, work, public) and I have the auto WiFi switcher features tuned off. Has anyone else come across this issue? I reset my network settings but that hasn't helped. Would prefer not to have to factory reset to correct a fault which Samsung seem to have introduced themselves.
This could also be the fault of the SIM card.
Can you text this by inserting your SIM card in another phone as a process of elimination.
If the issue stops when you do this then a Samsung Service Centre or Samsung Experience Store will be able to help you further with this situation by running a diagnostic on it.

What is going on Samsung?! I downloaded the latest software update a week ago and ever since my 4G data has been failing continually. Nothing works to resolve the issue. This is not a sim card or network issue either.
I spoke to Samsung support on the phone, they remote logged in, checked all my settings which seemed fine. They suggested a full system reset which I will try when i get the chance to backup.
Won't make a blind bit of difference I'm afraid. If you have the S9 Plus with single sim, turning off VoLTE calls will fix this issue until Samsung releases an update to solve this problem.
Same thing happened to my wife's phone after its update. We've switched it to 3G and now works - thanks for the advice. Need an update for a proper fix please.
