Is there a way to stop the newest software update?

I've seen how awful it is and I've been able to put it off, but my phone just said it'll update next time my phone is off or in about a week at 2am or something. Or if there isn't a way to stop it would doing a factory reset once it updates help? But I don't really want to go through and set my phone back up the way I currently have it. Any help? Thanks!

I'd love to try the package disabler fix but am a little leery of the app. Users are saying it has incredibly invasive permissions and a few have reported getting a ton of spam (email or phone) after installing it. Any thoughts?

This source i normally use to check on an app is forum.xda-developers.com and what i can see is that the app gets pulled from google play on occasion so if you choose that option then you might have to buy the app again. But i don't see anything about scams due to the app. The last scam call I've received was 5 days ago and i get them occasionally but that's been before i ever had this app. So i don't think the spam is related but i can't say that 100% for sure. The comment i liked the most was

Love how you avoided the first part of my comment.

To answer your question - he has mentioned it gets taken down by Google due to Samsung pressing hard on them to remove it. They don't people being able to disable these features on their phones. I also choose to not crucify him right out of the gate and give him the benefit of the doubt he is being straight with people. He develops a great product and I've had to buy it twice in the 3+ years I've been using Samsung phones. If you're really upset over spending an extra $4, or a cup a coffee in your terms then I cannot help you. I have no love fest for the dev, no idea who he even is - I just appreciate the benefits his app brings to my Samsung experience.

Can't please everyone I guess, either way I really hope you make a decision on the app and enjoy your phone. I know I'm loving mine!"

If you dont feel safe i would recommend you don't install the app. There is adb commands and i know how to use them but i dont like the fact i need to use my computer each time. So of you dont like this method there are other methods but they require a pc and technical skills.

Hope this helps. And if you can send me a message or post it here from a valid source that says there is spam in this app or related to this app so i can look into it?

Thank you.  Galaxy A20.  It removed the "software update" message on my pull down.  "Software Update" no longer appears in system apps, only in blue when you first press settings button.  Will know in a few days if all is well, if the forced update message doesn't appear again.

I enabled the Developer options on my new Note20 Ultra this morning and found the software update.

The developer options "auto update system" option does nothing now. You need to disable the apps or it will still auto update.

I too have the note 10+ and am absolutely disgusted with there being a system update every other day. I paid $1100 for this piece of *****, I own it I do NOT want their stupid invasive updates, most of my files disappear everytime. How do we stop them?? I'm to the point where I am going to throw this pos in the river and get something else entirely. I love the size and spen, but that's where it ends. I'm disgusted with all these tech giants invading my privacy and I refuse to get a 5g phone
