I purchased the S8 on the upgrade programme in the UK last year. I don't recall the info saying i have to return the S8 when I upgrade to the S9.
The invoice for the S9 shows S8 as free but I have also had an email from Samsung saying I have to return it.
I like the idea of being able to upgrade yearly but if the S8 goes back it's not really a great deal is it?
Anyone know for sure if the S8 has to be returned?
If the email from samsung says you have to return it then I say you do. That's how most upgrades work these days and why the new fone is cheaper for you. If you don't send it back they will charge you the savings you were making if you gave the s8 back
If you're in the upgrade programme then it 100% needs to go back.
You've got to look after it too as you can be penalised up to £150 and eligibility removed.
Hope this helps
Unless you want to keep it, then you pay the 2 monthly payments.
