I'm on a different thread with over 30K plus people using call recording apps (I use ACR Pro) and I can no longer hear the caller only my voice, inbound and outbound calls.
I had the S8 plus which worked perfectly so what has Samsung done to permissions on the S9 plus which I'm now using, speaking with others it has also affected the S9.
It was very quick for Samsung customer service (UK) to put blame on the app developer but this isn't an issue with the app it's the phone.
Can someone from Samsung please tell me if this can be fixed or the S9 plus is useless to me and approximately 1.5 million other ACR users using Samsung's S9 devices.
For me the facility to record is paramount, it's not an issue with the latest version of Oreo as it works on other handsets.
Samsung what have you done ?

i totallly agree with you. it all seems so farce. And just like the Samsung Screen just going dead at several places is a fault so is this call recording thing. I too could not find any google privacy policy on this

Hi Guys and welcome new members (I don't work for Samsung)
I started this thread as I was in the same position you are all in now. I've spent weeks reading the small print on Google's security policy based on local law. Their is nothing I haven't come across 1 shred of evidence nor link in other threads I'm following.
I can really only reliably speak for the UK as that's where I am.
Call recording does not work on Exynos S9 models (Snapdragon works fine Asian market)
Calling customer services won't get you anywhere theve had enough calls now that they are aware of the issue they are ready to blame Google's security policy (this is all of the EU)
There is a fault with the S9 devices which a lot of people don't pick up on because we are all so focused on the call recording feature not working (Samsung have released an official responce to say they will release there own app and not use 3rd party apps please see my previous replies in this tread for more info)
The phones fault is the calls going silent on you not the caller they can hear you, so my advice is get rid of the phones go down that road "problems with silent calls" and get a different device. If you want a Samsung that works in the EU and UK in a previous responce I've added a link to a store where I purchased mine which works perfectly and also cost a lot less than the UK price.
Any questions please feel free to ask I'm glad there is more of us complaining as this will have an affect putting pressure on them to sort this if possible (remember I have copied and pasted an official response in a previous comment)
Thanks guys for the likes makes my efforts in researching worth while.

Just to clarify when I say customer service won't help you doesn't mean don't keep contacting them about the issue I was a pre release customer and noticed straight away as I use ACR all the time.
The problem is they don't know what to do about it there is no exact answer, ask your complaints to be put through to the app development team that's what the 3rd party developers have asked for.
There is still the on going issue affecting calls which is your way out if you want rid.
There using Google's security policy as a way out which is BS.
They released all Exynos devices across Europe and that affected every country even if it is legal to record (which it is in England)
I'm trying to help you guys out of the phones and pointing you in the right direction (if you can get out of the handset) to somewhere where you can buy one.
If your phones is faulty i.e. keeps going silent in calls then they need to refund you and you don't want a replacement because of your experience.
If you can't and your stuck then as mentioned in one of my previous comments I've posted a copy and paste of Samsung's official responce.

From Accra Ghana here, I bought the S9 and realized call blocking is disabled. I'm besides myself with rage. How could Samsung just be that *****ic? I mean it's like the whole wolrd to them uses one legislation.
After being a loyal Samsung customer all my adult life, I'm certain this will be the end. I'm not getting any other Samsung phone again. This absurdity is unbelievable. Who knows what else they'll just disable next time?

It's true.
Using any voice call recording app in s8+ only can record my voice. Not recording other side voice.
I call them they reset and etched.
Then send ur cell to us we will see it. It takes 7days.
My question is. Why not Samsung put built in voice call recording option in their phones app. They have to think about it.
This is basic .
SAMSUNG WEAK POINT
