I'm on a different thread with over 30K plus people using call recording apps (I use ACR Pro) and I can no longer hear the caller only my voice, inbound and outbound calls. 

I had the S8 plus which worked perfectly so what has Samsung done to permissions on the S9 plus which I'm now using, speaking with others it has also affected the S9.

It was very quick for Samsung customer service (UK) to put blame on the app developer but this isn't an issue with the app it's the phone.

Can someone from Samsung please tell me if this can be fixed or the S9 plus is useless to me and approximately 1.5 million other ACR users using Samsung's S9 devices.

For me the facility to record is paramount, it's not an issue with the latest version of Oreo as it works on other handsets.

Samsung what have you done ?

Hi,

 

Try Clearing Cache/Data from the App, If this dose not work try reinstalling the application.

Please check permission's within the settings of your device to see if this application 

has the permission's for this.

Yeah thanks for the reply. Its a little more complicated than clearing cache and checking permissions. Samsung have taken away the possibility to record calls full stop.

My question is why? And is it permenant ?

Samsung has cheated and fooled everyone by not disclosing this big Flaw of no call recording . Half the world would have not bought this ***** phone S9 or S9+ if this drawback was made public.  Samsung should buy back this ***** phone.  They should only sell the phone after informing the public that this call recording feature does not work.  Then it would have acted like a responsible company.  Now it has acted like a low class thief and fleeced money out of innocent people. Shame on Samsung.  Stole  our money .  Thief  Samsung !!

"Call Recorder Pro"  updated two days ago by Applicato, available on Google Play is now properly recording phone calls on the S9.

It sucks. I had the Cube record. It was fantastic and worked great. It recorded incoming and outgoing calls. I could hear both sides very clear. Now none of the record Apps work since Samsung did there upgrade. It Blows!!!! I use the Samsung 8 plus.

Google removed 3rd party access not samsung!

Changing csc works to get native recorder.

Just choose your method,I have a Thai sim coming,will post results.......

Just to let you all know the very latest version of Boldbeast Recorder works on my s9 plus. At the moment this is the only call recorded that works 100 percent on this phone.

this is costly application and it did not work on free version bit risk if I buy this which is about ten pound if did work call recording or its stop 🛑 in next update these things are make me worry

Right first thanks for the tip Ryan much appreciated.
Got it working took a restart and ACR uninstall. Setting to Mode 7.
Still on free testing.
Then updated via Samsung and still working.

 

Still awaiting a Samsung fix. Put my complaint in. I don't believe Samsung will actively try to stop a third party app as they have absolved any responsibility. I'll keep updating automatically and let the thread know if an update causes a problem.

No worries chris577 I'm glad I could help you in some way, when I started this thread I was the one that was looking and needing the help thankfully I was in so many other groups I was able to share other people's hard work to finding a fix for now.

I have a brand new Samsung A40. No call recorders work on this phone. It is for me a necessary function.

I have updated, reinstalled my regular app. And also tried several other apps. I have also cleared the cache.

The phone flies mot allow me to record anything other than my voice. This is affecting my business. What can I do?

Sorry to hear that this is so much important for you. I have heard that you are able to record if you use your speakerphone if that doesn't bother you. Maybe give a try?

Same problem here, also i know that snapdragon version s9+ can record audio with the same app or any other app without any problems at all.  Seems like only exynos versions are affected.

Really sorry to hear this. Please feed this information back via the Samsung member's App.

Also have you tried any alternative app to see if this is issue still persist's? 
Have the devolpers of the app mentioned any form of update that may help resolve this issue?

Hi Yes the developer's have tried but it's Samsung that have caused the problem, please follow the link I've mentioned in the previous message. 

Yes it's all recording apps that are affected by Samsung.

Not good I will never buy there products again I'm trying to get rid of my S9 plus.

How do I pass on a message to Samsung?

Ok spoke to Samsung there is no official way to fix this, Samsung have no update. I've spoke to 3 people now who have managed to get out of the S9 and S9 plus and get different phones. These phones are technically faulty as you are unable to use the facility to record from a digital download that others can. 

I've just spoke to my retailer and they can take the phone back.
