I have not opened my s25 ultra box yet. I'm waiting for the Samsung screen protectors to arrive on the 4th. Do you think I can get away with installing a s23 ultra samsung screen protector for now. I have a box of two them 😂

Screen Protectors won't be that far off being compatible if they are the film type

Personally, I wouldn't recommend trying S23U screen protector on S25U. Use the new phone indoor 😂

According to Sammobile.com today, the first software update for the new S25 is available to download, started this morning in the US and some European varies. It's 01 Dec 24 and has files 24GB in size so is huge. Just a heads up.

On that note, the actual system use on a 1TB S25 Ultra was around 42GB from a fresh setup.

I'm doing something similar to what you suggested. I've got a spare S24 Ultra official anti-reflective screen protector and will install that until I order the S25 version. Like you, I can't risk even one micro scratch but can't wait and will set up my phone tonight or in the morning with no distractions.
