I just got my S225U. Why can't I transition from App screen to Home screen anymore without touching the Home button at the bottom of the screen?

In UI6.1 and older versions, I can switch between these two screens (Home and App) by just swiping up and down anywhere in the screen. It is very efficient and does not require me to touch the Home screen button at the bottom to switch between the two screens.

I don't like the App screen single long page of UI7.0. Because of this single page App screen, swiping up and down is now allocated to searching for the App. The option to switch to Home screen (if has only single page) and vice versa should be available by swiping the single page App screen left or right. It's not rocket science, please do it Samsung team.

You can, just swipe up or down... There's absolutely nothing different between OneUI 6.1 to OneUI 7 in user interface functionality. I'm not sure if you have an issue with your device, but it works identical to the previous OneUI.

You can only do that in switching from Home to App screen but not from App to Home screen.

Uh yes, you can. I'm literally doing that on both my S21 Ultra and S25 Ultra...

How can you do that from App to Home screen? If you have an App screen with many Apps, if you swipe it up it will scroll down to display other Apps and not switch to Home screen because it is no longer a multiple page App screen. My patch update is already February 1.

Here and I purposefully arranged it as alphabetical for you, something I don't normally keep.

It's not happening on my S25U App screen. I have to touch the Home button at the bottom to switch to Home screen.

Only works from the very top of the apps list and swiping down. The easy fix is just use swipe navigations. You swipe up from home button, job done. Honestly I don't see the big spiel over this extremely minor change.

Hi, The swipe to switch function is 100% active for transition from home to app screen. In the new app alphabetical layout you need to swipe to the top then swipe down again and this will take you home. If you're in custom page layout then you just need to swipe down as previous UI.

I also am using the S25U. Absolutely no issue, I did say I wasn't going to get it but the discounts and perks was worth it 😉.

Thanks. It looks like it is available only in the custom sorting because in custom sorting App screen is multiple page. But in alphabetical sorting the App screen becomes single page, therefore swiping up or down means scrolling up/down to search for the App.
