UI 8.5 Beta

Hello,  I wanted to share a few things I have noticed since I joined the Beta UI 8.5 Beta.

1- Some Apps have updated and now I can not use properly (Messenger for one)

2- Notice that Gemini even tho disabled still chimes in instead of using Google.

3- If you want to leave beta there are no instructions on how to go back to UI 8.1

I can give more details if needed.  Also if anyone has joined and successfully rolled back I would love to know how.

Messenger - reach out to Meta as it is their app. It takes a few days for apps to be upgraded.

Gemini - not having that issue myself.

Reverting back to 8.1 was CLEARLY explained right at the start, you had to read past all that before you could sign up.

I appreciate your reply.  I have reached out to Meta.  However I am still reporting changes since I am on beta.  

Reverting back, yes it may have CLEARLY been stated but I did not copy or write it down so asking for assistance is reasonable.  


I am enjoying the Beta.  My daughter also joined and wanted to withdraw and am trying to help her.

Worth bearing in mind. Some apps and services are not compatible when your on beta software testing. As beta software contains bugs that would need fixing. Some apps especially banking apps wouldn't work properly due to security. Id always stick to stable versions before they get released.

Too many join beta for the wrong reasons then complain when things don't work or they struggle to go back to a previous version.

People should only join beta if they are prepared to test, feedback and help Samsung develop.

We also don't recommend it for the main or only device

Funny enough. I have found banking apps are the only apps which work flawlessly with beta software 😂.

And I use my main phone for beta testing 😊

The Force is strong with this one. I sense.🙏
