Hey, I bought an S25 a few months ago from Backmarket (2nd hand) and its been absolutely great, though over the past couple months I have been wondering why I haven't received OneUI8? I asked Gemini and shared my software info and it tells me that my phone is never going to update as on the Service Provider Model Number my phone thinks it is an S24Ultra when it is intact a S25. I'm obviously not 100% sure about Gemini as it could genuinely be lying and hallucinating. Can anybody help me out or point me in the right direction?

Best advice is to return the phone for a refund
Chances are that if its had a different software flashed onto it.
It may not get updated whatever sim is in it
Also if the software has been altered, Samsung won't touch it as any warranty will be void

Have sent for a repair from Backmarket, hopefully they either fix the issue or offer me a replacement. If not, I can always sell my S25 as it's not got anything wrong with it, no signs of use at all and then buy a new S25 or alternative with the money I get from the sale. Thanks for your advice!

It's most likely the model number preventing it to get updates. Definitely looks like it's had the wrong firmware flashed on to it. I'm quite surprised it works. The fact that it's a US model does not prevent it from getting updates in the UK. As long as the the service provider software is correct it will still get updates. XAA is the correct code. I had a US model in the past with the correct XAA code and got updates regularly with a UK SIM card in it. I'd return the phone if possible.

I wouldn't bother with updates, the latest one has trashed my phone so I had by another, not Samsung!!! Turn your updates off and stay on a UI that works.
