Anyone else finding that Gemini is useless? It's great having it in terms of a chat GPT alternative. But it hasn't yet been able to do any simple tasks for me including logging calendar events and reminders or tasks.

I thought this was meant to be the phone where it's your true AI assistant, has anyone had any success and if so where am I going wrong?

It's like all of the AI software. It's developing and the more that interact with it the more it learns
I find it useful for somethings
But there is still a way to go and I'm sure as updates are brought out. The better it will get

I've just found out that you either have to use Gemini OR Google Assistant as your phone assistant. Gemini is basically chat GPT but it can't even set a reminder. Google assistant is the better assistant. But if you set that as your assistant then you can't open and use Gemini without resetting it as your assistant! Absolute bonkers

You must enable the Reminder, Calendar, and Samsung Notes extensions in Gemini settings, I have Gemini Advanced and Gemini performs tasks flawlessly on my S24 Ultra, but for now only in Google apps because I will get support for Samsung apps with OneUI 7.

I have read varying opinions on Gemini. 

Personally I'm staying with Google Assistant for the time being.

So you can get Gemini advanced to log calendar events for you? When i try to do that it asks me to enable google workspace settings which only appears to be available for work accounts!
