However im torn between upgrading to something with better battery life on?

Is the s25 ultra worth it and can you toggle of the ai future's if you wish and turn off the now brief? Thanks.

I've just moved from the s23 ultra to the s25 ultra. You can toggle off the AI features and you can toggle off the now bar. Don't expect a significant difference in battery. I will say it's better on the s25 ultra, but my s23 ultra was 2 years old and still held up with battery very well.

It is decent phone yes but it is getting on a bit now. Best get a new phone that's under fresh 2 year warranty, at least in UK

Hello 👋 @King132

Short Answer ~ Yes.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

First time having an Ultra, as I've always had just the base models, last time I spent so much on a phone was for a Nokia 8850( if anyone remembers them!! ), so nothing to compare to as such, but so far, I wish I'd been an Ultra buyer before!!!

Agree with others. I upgraded from S24 Ultra and great move for me. I also have S23 Ultra here too.

Battery is far better on S25 Ultra from my experience. I'm getting up to 18 hours Screen On and say 10 hours Screen Off on a full battery, double that of my S24 Ultra

I would hold on to the S23 ultra. It looks and feels more premium. I prefer It's tech with the ever so reliably useful fun to use Bluetooth spen. I've read many missing the 10x Zoom after getting rid of it. S25 ultra looks hideous for me. Look at it from the back. It's like a big A series. Huge camera rings for whatever reason. It's lighter, which is great, but it's also 1.3mm narrower than the S24 ultra, which will bring down the weight. For me, it's too narrow and definitely needs it's ™️ width. Colours are also washed out. S23 ultra screen is much nicer to look at. There's new tech out there that sammy is choosing not to use. My guess is we will see something a lot better than the S25 ultra in the S26 ultra. You've got another 3 years of updates left. Maybe go play with the S25 ultra like I did. It was lovely to use. That was it. The 8gen2 is just as snappy as the 8 elite. You'll only notice the difference with the 8 elite when uploading videos. And the 8gen2 doesn't get hot. Numerous reports of the 8 elite getting hot doing simple social media scrolling stuff. For me, it's an easy decision to wait and see what the S26 may offer. There's a reason why the deals were too good to pass on for some with the S25 models. Go play with it and then go with your instinct before you decide to order it. The S23 ultra is too good a phone to give up for the S25 ultra, in my opinion.

I have the S24U and won't be upgrading this time, I upgraded from the S20+ to the S22U then S23U then S24U I didn't notice any improvement but have had a consistent and constant stream of one glitch or another, some minor and some major with the worst model being the S22U in the early period of release, which has improved since. In my experience the devices are superior but the ongoing support with updates and problem solving is substandard. I'm waiting to see if it improves over the next year or two whilst I compare with other competitors. I wouldn't consider IOS but I can see why they tend to be more popular as a business phone as they tend to be more stable and considered more secure but that could just be a perception. From my own personal experience, high end Samsung phones are more suited for the domestic market where glitches and connectivity issues have less impact especially for heavy users with a more demanding workload. When I first got the S22U I had to purchase and set up a second phone for the periods when the S22U was playing up whilst waiting for updates. I currently use an A54 5g for important apps that clash on my S24U and side by side comparison usually shows a faster data download speed on my A54 5g compared with the S24U so I presume all of the extra functions put more strain on connectivity and battery drain etc

I think it comes down to personal preferences and why specifically an upgrade would appeal.

I dont use S Pen or Cameras that much.

If the S24 was the same size and weight as a S25 U, I would not have upgraded.

The weight and size appealed to me the most as the S24 U was too heavy. After discounts S25U came to £460, so was a no brainer.

If I can see differences from a S24U, then I cant imagine the differences from older devices.

How did you do the discounts to £460? I paid way more than that from Samsung.
