I'm having trouble with Wi-Fi calling on my new S25 Ultra. Here's what's happening:
 * Unlike my old S24 Ultra, I can't get Wi-Fi calling to work unless I manually turn Location Services on and off again.
 * On my old phone, Location Services would automatically turn on and off for a few seconds when Wi-Fi turned on, and that would trigger Wi-Fi calling.
 * This new behavior isn't mentioned in the S25 user manual.
 * I've tried restarting the phone and resetting network settings, but that hasn't helped.
Could you please look into this? It's really frustrating having to jump through these extra hoops just to make a call.

It's uses Location to make sure your in the UK and also for Location incase you need to call emergency services as far as I know.

On my s24 ultra when turning on wifi even if the Location Services are off they used to turn on for a few seconds then switch off (only if wifi calling was enabled) on the s25 ultra this happens only occasionally and when it doesn't happen then wifi calling don't work.

The phone shows wifi calling as active but I cannot make or receive calls.

If I manually enable Location the turn on wifi 90% of the time wifi calling works and system ui app and phone Services app show that they have accessed gps

I think this is a bug in the new software but don't know how to report it to Samsung.

Was writing on here to see if anyone else on EE in the UK is experiencing this?

EE has confirmed all is well on their side.

Location Services and wifi are working perfectly for everything else so I assume its not hardware. Other than this issue the phone is amazing and a lot better than my s24 ultra

Hi @PavK , The Members app has an error reporting feature that allows you to send bug reports and associated software logs to the developers. Guide on how to do it here for you and other peeps if you need it: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/mobile-apps-services/samsung-members-app-how-to-send-an-error-re...

Hi, I too am on Ee with an s25 ultra. WiFi calls have been working perfectly since I switched over from s24 ultra. Just checked my settings and location was on. Turned it off and made a WiFi call no problem. Didn't notice it switching location services on to make the call and not showing as a required permission. Hope this helps!

Hi Mandy the issue is occurring when you have Location Services off and swith to mobile data then back to wifi.

It's seems to then want to connect to Location for a few seconds.

Can you possibly try this a few times with Location off and report back?

Really appreciated..

So I have WiFi calling on my S25 Ultra and I'm also on EE.

I do not hand location services on, nor have I given it access to location.

WiFi calling will only work in the UK on EE, it isn't configured further.

Not sure why you're having such issues but I suspect it is in your own settings that you have an issue.
