S25 Ultra Sim issues?

I have just received my S25 Ultra. After setting it up I find that it won't pick up the internet in public spaces. It works fine on WiFi where available.

Does it need a new SIM? My old SIM came from my my S23. Is this a 5G issue? Is it as simple as that?

Could be...if your SIM isn't a 5g enabled but it's been about a while now...

Try setting it to 'prefer 4G' and see if it revolves... If so...your network needs to provide a new SiM1738710211142.jpg

I'm presuming you have mobile data turned on?

Pull down quick menu and check your mobile data icon is lit

Hi @Mwalimu and warm welcome 👋

If your Sim came from s23 then most likely it's already support 5G if your previous device had 5G connection.

I suggest to contact your network provider and ask sim replacement due do damage it could acured from s23 ultra device.

Try 2nd sim slot.

Try reseting network settings.

Check any damage on your sim card, and see if you put it correctly.

Received my S25 Ultra from EE it was a upgrade and came with a new sim card, my old sim card was 5g enabled , so fitted the new sim into sim 1. I would ask service provider for a replacement nano sim.

Hi.

Check your APN settings for your provider or ask them to send you new ones.

Probably not set up correctly on the new device.

Which one UI version are you running? If it is One UI 6.1 there is an issue with mobile data connectivity seemingly causing the antenna to have low signal caused by the one UI 6.1 update, official response from samsung is that they are looking into it and have passed on the info to their experts

It's One UI 7 on S25 but I have a similar problem while I do get connections of 4g and 5g I'm mostly stuck on E in areas I should be getting either 4g or 5g

Check to see if you have an app update in the galaxy store for continuity app, samsung pass and quick share as this has fixed the issue for me and others
