Anyone else noticed their battery draining super fast after the update. It's 2:pm UK time and usually I'm on 80%. At work indont use my phone and it's gone down to 50% already?
Any solutions ???

No. Can you download Good Guardians and thermal guardian app and post screenshot.

YouTube app or some other?

I had this happen a few weeks ago. Closing all open tabs and taking the case off for a while rectified the issue, thankfully!

@RO99  Ensure all apps are up to date and do you have some apps which are only used periodically in sleep Mode. It is advisable to wipe the cache partition after updates and can help.

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer , other Device or TV USB, Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Sometimes it helps to reset the Battery stats by dialing *#9900# in the Samsung phone App(ensure Auto Blocker is switched off) . scroll down to Battery stats Reset and restart your Device.  This has mentioned  recently by myself and @lminvti  @Moiramon and @Piper123  recently.

Bear in mind that there is a learning phase after the update which can take up to 14 days though so after Troubleshooting likely to still be some additional Battery Drain for a short period.

There is also a long thread here https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s24-series/battery-draining-faster-after-software-update/...

Hi @SKGalaxyS25 The device will heat up,particularly when running power intensive applications, multitasking, playing games for instance.  In some instances you will need to give it time to slow down.  it should not be particularly hot after watching videos for a short time though.  Mind you it is only really a concern is over 45° C.

in this instance it would be beneficial to see a screenshot from Thermal Guardian as @Tourbillon De La Vie mentions.

Give it time. Your phone needs to re-learn your usage patterns again for some reason after this update. My S24 Ultra battery was dying within a few hours too after the update. After a week or ten days battery usage has gone back to over 24 hours plus which it was at before the update. Also run Good Guardians app booster and look in the battery section to see what's using what battery wise.

Warmer days means less efficiency means more power wastage/drain. It's normal this time of year, but people often coincide it with an update.

Are other Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra users encountering suboptimal battery life and overheating issues? I recently upgraded from the S24 Ultra to the S25 Ultra anticipating improved battery performance, but the results have been disappointing. What troubleshooting steps are recommended? thanks
