S25 Ultra Macro and Telephoto Photography

- 5x is now the new Normal for Portrait.

- 100x Zoom is now very much usable till 30x.

- 3x Zoom Lens interfere with the Zoom image quality in Videos. It should not be used when using Continuous Zoom in Videos.

- 200MP with external Telephoto Lens is awesome.

May I ask ?

1. Are you using 12MP or 50MP?

I ask because if you set to 50MP you can bypass using the 3x for photos albeit a slower shutter speed depending on lighting.

Also Expert Raw does 24MP which I am trying as well.

Would love to hear which modes you like or settings and lens combos you prefer .😊

Let me rephrase the issue - Using the 12MP default lens for video is great, but while zooming while the recording is going on there is that switch to 3x zoom which isntantly impacts quality 🙁. Then it jumps to 50MP at 5x, which is better, but the transitions are jarring reducing the videos's overall aesthetic appeal.

Will try to share a video as an example.

I am not sure how to use the 50MP lens by default to start the video recording. Is it possible ?

This is the 1st version of the camera. I hope Samsung will adress existing issues with software updates. Still waiting on camera updates for S24U lol

I have a terrible experience with the zoom on the S25 ultra. If I try to zoom past 50 the quality is terrible and grainy. I spend the money on this new phone because I thought the camera is significantly better than my S22 Ultra however my experience is not much different. I'm extremely disappointed. 

What external zoom lens did you use?

Yeah. Anything above 30x is not usable. V ivo's x200 pro is much better in that aspect. But honestly S25 Ultra is the best you can get if you prefer oneUI 7.

I use Skyvik's telephoto lens. It is a hybrid lens with macro and Telephoto lens.
