Hi fellows!
I received a new S25 Ultra Titanium Black a couple days ago from Samsung, really nice phone, screen, weight and form-factor, all good design choices for my preferences.
However, the unit suffers from Coil Whine, I had this before in other electronics like graphics cards, computers and TVs, but not in a phone.
During calls, phone, Skype, or Teams, I hear a subtle crackling or hissing noise at varying frequencies "ZZzzzzZZzzzzzzZZzzzzz" which can be tolerable in short few minutes calls, but after 10 minutes or so it becomes unbearable, having a continuous electric noise in ones ear during calls on a cell phone is not normal I guess.
I tested this phenomena further by running Geekbench GPU Benchmark, the moment it starts running, the whine becomes louder and can be heard not only through the top call speaker, but throughout the body of the entire phone, If i place my ear over the screen or back, there is a lot of crackling and hissing going on.
Before requesting a replacement, I would like to check if anyone else is experiencing this with their S25 unit? I am assuming that this does not affect every S25 unit, but with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and circuit board design changed, maybe this is more common?
Appreciate if you let me know...

I'm not experiencing this on my phone @Tech_Master
May I suggest to perform a forum search as you may find already existing threads with help and advice within.
Does this happen with every call to everyone and everywhere you go 🤔
As a process of elimination can you try your sim card in another phone, and another sim card in your phone.
Could this be a mast / cell call connection issue.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

@johnz237 it is not harmful from an electronics health perspective, but is to the user's ears and sanity
The standard procedure for coil whine, is if it can be heard from a "normal usage distance" it gets replaced, that is about 3 meters for graphics cards, but since cell phones are placed directly on ear, the frequency must not be audible at all.
The power envelope for the snapdragon chip is I think 15 Watt, so shall not be as susceptible as 200 Watts graphics cards.
@BandOfBrothers I googled before posting and only found a few reddit posts related to the S24, I had the S24U also and it didn't have this.
It is not connected to cell network or connection, even after getting off the call, the "ZzzzzZzzZZZzzz" is still heard through the call speaker, a classic case of coil whine coming from the circuit board inside, being in a phone that is held over the ear is the issue

Hi I just purchased my S25 a few days back and noticed similar issue the very next day. first I chalked it off to bad reception or interference with the galaxy fit 3, but afterwards I noticed that even without call and with the screen turned off i could hear the static/sparking sound.
It is really irritation and with this price tag totally unexpected.
I was thinking of contacting the Samsung service center but I really don't want the phone set opened and repaired right out of the box.
Really hoping the fix it with a software update or replace the unit.
Its a Major Buzz kill to say the least.

Yeah, I have the same annoying sound coming from my new S25 ultra. Almost sounds like an alarm clock going off. Like that old time alarm clock. Funny enough, I thought I had an alarm going off in a drawer or something. Its frustrating because this feedback noise is noticeable in a car when connected via Bluetooth, using android auto, or listening to Bluetooth speakers, or now just listening with no other devices on. This is annoying and quite sad, that Samsungs flagship phone has a very annoying sound! Please fix this with an update soon!!!

I don't have the coil whine, I have a lot of screeching every time I talk. Its so bad the other person cannot hear what I am saying. What is a possible solution to this problem?
