Hi, is anyone else experiencing battery issues since the UI 8.0 update from early November? My phone now only lasts half a day at most now, while I used to be able to use it all day and still have battery left at the end of the day. Is there any way to resolve this?

It doesn't mate any difference doing that my battery used to be amazing when I first got the phone I got over 9 hours of on screen time with a mix of 5g / WiFi but after one ui 8 I get 3 / 4 hours now and that's with battery saving mode on if it was off it's around 2 hours I have reset my phone and also got the os reinstalled but no difference so now I have to charge my phone like 3 times a day and I don't even play games or that it's just emails and calls and some web browsing and YouTube I get better battery on my s23 ultra for some reason I hope they put a battery battery and hopefully the new carbon ones as battery would be amazing on those phone if they put them in it

Is anyone from Samsung reading along and will a solution be offered to fix this?

I also have this problem since latest upgrade. All the advice so far does not help (clear cache, restart, battery optimization etc.). Battery is not lasting a day with normal use and even overnight when idle is losing up to 70% charge. Battery usage randomly shows high usage with YouTube music, android play services and intelligence services. Clearly a software update issue with the update which samsung need to investigate and rectify immediately.

I was struggling with fast battery drain for a few weeks after the update, but I managed to fix it. On my device, the problem was related to the NFC module. I turned it off, then turned it on only briefly while it was needed.

Before, my daily battery usage went to about 150%. I can keep it about 50% now.

Maybe this will help someone.

YES. I have the S24. Always have had an awesome battery life. Now, I swear I barely text for 20 minutes or anything else and battery is at 50% ... And then, even if I'm not doing anything .. just have it with me... Still draining. I've forced stopped all running apps and tried to identify if some other hidden app is draining in background but I do not let any apps run in the background except for a set few so if it IS in the background it is some hidden system app that I cannot find. AND not only is it with the drainage but charging takes FOREVER. And none of my fast charging cords reflect that fast charging is occurring yet several cords have stated "slow charging connected" which I haven't seen before. There are all sorts of things, actually, that I haven't seen before... I really wish I had not done this update... I usually wait awhile before I install updates and this time I just wasn't paying attention and allowed install first time it showed up

One last thing... Usually I notice battery issues after an update for a little while after the update but this one is SEVERE and the slow charging is just really strange...
