I've suffered hacking via talktalk broadband for last 8 months so really paranoid about using a new phone. As I have just set up my new phone, I did a quick security check, as I logged into used devices a unrecognised device appeared beginning with SU then a series of numbers, it very quickly reverted back to my phones id, I can possibly provide the site I believe the original hackers used. Apart from that, I don't think I have any other information atm

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

I commented on another post not too long ago. Please provide more information if you can. Where did you do a "security test" ?

This is the information I gave them- this was due to a phone hack and also relating to a bank- so info a tiny bit irrelevant with some of my remarks. But the steps are still the same.

Most of the time- changing all passwords is enouth.

Anyways- this is what I said
"
The only possible way to get hacked is by being tricked into installing something/ being phished into allowing access. Samsungs security is absolutely air tight....unless one is tricked into granting access. This would be the same regardless of brand. *this being said, I dont mean this was on you- my brother almost got hacked...and I dont blame him, the way they went around it was scary good. Luckily his bank realised.

This is very unfortunate, and to be honest, I think it's best to involve the authorities.

Are you signed into your email address on another device? The first thing to do would be to reset all your account passwords.

Then, factory reset your device—I would suggest using Samsung Find or the factory reset option on your smartphone using the buttons.
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-perform-factory-reset-on-my-mobile-device...

Before performing a factory reset, I would contact the authorities regarding the cybercrime and get advice from them directly.

UK government advice:

Cyber support—Action Fraud

*This all being said, if you've already reset passwords and contacted your bank to cancel cards, a factory reset should suffice. I would also look into antivirus software with ID theft protection."

Do you notice any changes in your phone?
Did you accept any Bluetooth or WiFi connections that you didn't know before?
Are you paired with other devices and can you identify some you don't know?

Thanks for your reply but in answer to all your questions, no I haven't and aren't. I've suffered 2 nervous breakdowns over this as nobody believes me, am at my wits end again and as for the police, they don't want to know.
