Pop-up Notifications issue

Hello. So I'm having an issue with pop-up notifications. I receive only the first X notifications as popups with sound and vibration but the rest of them are delivered in the notification panel. For example, I have an Instagram group chat. If people are sending too many messages, I'll receive around 4-5 pop-up alerts. The rest of them are directly sent into the notification panel with no sound or vibration. Is there any way I can receive all notifications as pop-ups?

Hi @Scop , I am unsure whether you can change that as I think it is built into android / Samsung OneUI to stop you from getting spammed notifications from chats and other apps.

Yes I thought the same but it's very frustrating since I can miss some important messages

Perhaps if you enable Manage notifications categroies for each app setting. That could help you, I have that setting off. Here are the steps to enable it.

Here's how to manage notification categories for individual apps:

Managing Notification Categories
1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap on Notifications.
3. Select Advanced settings.
4. Then, choose "Manage notification categories for each app."

While I'm unsure if this will directly solve your issue, it's certainly worth trying. Please let me know if this fixes your problem. In case someone else has the same problem as you!

So I tested this but sadly it doesn't fix the issue. For Discord, I only get the first 3 notifications in the notification panel but when I open the app, there's a whole conversation. As for the pop-up issue, this seems to be a 'spam protection'

I am sorry, I was unable to help you. But please feel free to make a suggestion on here to add an option to turn it off for sorten apps perhaps or just generally.
