I thought I would start this thread so we can all share what differences, changes, improvements and anything that's become worse since jumping in on the One UI 8 Beta and any apps or features that don't work on the beta.

I will start off with i am finding the battery has improved, the UI seems more fluid and quicker. So far Google wallet and my Santander banking app work perfectly, thought I would mention these because for most they stop working.

My Calendar widget seems clearer to my old eyes, the font seems sharper and a little bigger.

Let me know your thoughts and anything you have noticed 😁

Doesn't touch your internal storage. It's a separate partition.

Interesting. Every other article that ive read says turn it off as it can slow your phone. If its compressing and decompressing that would make sense. If you need 40 or 50 apps always open then I get it can add some flexibility but it comes at a performance cost.

Mine's off and I don't need or intend to turn it on. 👍

That article is simply wrong. I've done my own observations and I've come to the conclusion it definitely eats up storage space. It simply doesn't allocate the space right off from boot. It's easy to check as well. It basically uses the storage space as and when it requires it, in other words, when your system is using multiple apps and resources.

ZRAM has been used in Android for over 10 years, long before RAM Plus and it simply is not true this is just a form of it.

I've always used it. Had no issues. It's on by default too.

Even when it's off it still uses a small portion. It's never truly off. 1748452177792.jpg
