Hello!
Just picked up an S25 (Verizon), and have run into issues customizing notification sounds for some apps. On the S25, I have have gone to Settings > Notifications > Advanced Settings and enabled Manage notification categories for each app. However, it seems that some apps don't interact properly with this method.
For example, On my previous LG phone, Settings > Apps & Notifications > App Info > The Weather Channel > App Notifications brings up a screen with nearly 40 different categories of notifications which one can enable/disable and set the sound for.
On the S25, Settings > Notifications > App Notifications > The Weather Channel > Notification categories has only two categories, only one of which (called Miscellaneous) allows setting a sound. I can't find any way to get to that screen I can get to in the LG phone settings that allows detailed customization of sounds for the various notifications. There doesn't seem to be any way within the TWC app to get to these sounds. I have noticed a couple of other apps that also seem to be missing the level of notification sound customization I had on the old phone.
Any ideas on what is going on here? There are no phone software or app updates available. Is there another way to get to the notification sound settings?
Thanks!

Thank you for the reply. I am not using the default weather app that comes with the phone. I am using The Weather Channel app downloaded from the Play Store.

My apologies! Somehow I navigated into EU community before I posted! I should have posted in the US community.
