I’ve upgraded from the S21 Ultra to the new S25 Ultra, expecting a noticeable step up in camera performance. However, I’ve run into some issues that feel a bit odd, especially since the cameras are supposed to be better. So far, I’m not massively impressed, and I’m curious if anyone else is seeing the same problems. They've happened quite a lot in the last week but I've noticed these examples:
I’m presuming this isn’t how the cameras on the S25 Ultra are supposed to perform, so I’m curious—has anyone else experienced these kinds of issues? If you’ve found a solution or a setting that helps, feel free to share. I'm not a pro photographer by any means.

I have updated from s22 ultra, s25 ultra's front camera is by far the WORST i have ever experienced on SAMSUNG devices... Full of grain, noise, dull and ghosting pics

I understand your frustration! I recently upgraded to the S25 Ultra as well, hoping for a major improvement in camera performance, but my experience has been quite disappointing too.
Here are the specific issues I’ve encountered:
- **Grainy and Noisy Photos:** Especially in low-light conditions, the images are filled with noise, and the details get lost.
- **Autofocus Struggles:** Just like you mentioned, the camera often fails to focus on the intended subject. I've tried focusing on foreground objects, but the camera seems to have a mind of its own, leaving important details blurry.
- **Inconsistent Color and Exposure:** My videos under warm lighting turn out with an unnatural yellow tint, and photos sometimes look dull and washed out.
- **Unpredictable Results:** Switching between modes or adjusting settings doesn’t seem to help much—sometimes the photos come out decent, but more often than not, they’re underwhelming.
**I even compared the camera performance with a cheaper Redmi device, and shockingly, the Redmi produced better and more consistent results!**
I’ve tried all the usual troubleshooting steps, including updating the software, resetting camera settings, and experimenting with different modes, but nothing has worked so far.
To get an objective perspective, I even analyzed the photos and videos using ChatGPT, which confirmed my concerns about graininess, autofocus issues, poor color accuracy, and struggles in low-light conditions.
I contacted Samsung support about the issues, and they recommended taking the device to a service center for a detailed inspection. I’m waiting for the service report to determine if the problem is hardware or software-related. If the issue isn't resolved, I’m seriously considering returning the device while still within the 30-day window.
It’s reassuring (though also disappointing) to see I’m not the only one facing these problems. If anyone else has found a solution or if Samsung has provided any helpful advice, I’d love to hear it!

I believe anyone who upgraded from old models have seen how worse is the S25 Cera
I just surprised that Samsung has destroyed the long reputation of its camera with the S25.. this will be my last mobile and maybe anything to do with Samsung brand..
And Samsung is still silent .. at least they must apologised and reply to our complaints ..

I was going from S22U to S25U and found exactly the same, and I do a lot of photography. I started a return on my S25U, which has been accepted. Not waiting for software changes.

Hi, I have a similar problem when focusing on close objects. When I get to a certain distance with an object I can see it sharp in the preview. Once I press the shutter button the auto
focus does something weird and the resulting picture is very blurry. Screenshot and resulting picture attached.

It's a problem for sure. I'm so annoyed with myself that I traded in my Pixel for this phone. Just installed the latest software update and the unfortunately no improvements to the camera.
