Galaxy S25 not Charging with 25W fast charger

Trying to use a Samsung model ep-ta800 25W fast charger, and my new base#S25 will not charge with it. It says "Super fast charging" but after 30 minutes, there is no progress. Wireless charging works fine, maybe a little slower than I would expect.

Brick and cable are both fine. They charge my work S24 without issue.

Have you tried using the cable that came with the phone @sh42

Not specifically with this brick, but another cable and brick I have is normal charging it just fine.

It is probably the charger is faulty or maybe the cable is faulty? Use a different cable and see if it works on the 25w charger.

It has been discussed on the forum that their is some kind of software hiccup, but the cable in the box with the phone provides fast charging @sh42

From what I have seen, this is affecting the 45W super fast 2.0, not the 25W for base model.

Hello there @sh42. Can I just start by saying that my S25 Ultra has EXACTLY the same problem as yours. I attempt to charge my device with my 25W brick and 5A cable, and fast charging 2.0 comes up but no charging happens. I resolved things instantly by attaching an Anker 45W brick (@£15 on Amazon) to the same 5A cable and it began charging brilliantly, like an enraged bull. This charging issue, and other similar ones, are recognized by Samsung and a software update is in the works, all according to Samsung Italy. Hold tight and it will get sorted. I recommend the Anker brick in the meantime. You can also try using the 3A cable given in the box with your 25U to see if this works, but you may have to toggle off Super Fast Charging, and settle for a lower charging speed. Good luck.

I just have the base S25, I was using a samsung brick and an anker 60W PD cable. I tried using the cable that came with the phone and the same brick, and that DID work, so yeah, guess I just have to wait on samsung to fix this so I can use my long cables.
