'Fun Friday' post: Who does any gaming on their ultra or S series phones ?

So I enjoy gaming... i am a bit of a big kid really 😄. Ideally I use my home gaming setup and QHD 27" monitor but occasionally it is nice to be able to game remotely or with a handheld.

I own a steam deck, and whilst initially i used to play it more often for the novelty, i have barely used it in recent months. I think this SD is going on ebay soon enough as it doesn't get enough use ! 

I have just pre-ordered the S25 ultra, and I am looking forward to giving the gaming a try. I haven't really used my ultras in the past for gaming, but I believe the power of this new Snapdragon Elite chipset will be far more powerful in capability than the SteamDeck that i own already. It is also a large cumbersome device to chuck in a rucksack on a train journey or flight.

So i think i will intend to get a backbone one or a Kishi Ultra handset, and give this beast of a phone a good test in some games. I am thinking proper full featured AAA games, Xbox GamePass ultimate / Playstation remote... and Geforce Now with whatever steam library games of mine work. 

Do you play games ? Are these just simple Android and Google play type games ? Do you play AAA titles that are fully featured games from Cloud gaming or likewise. I am interested to hear other forum members experiences with phone handsets and USB controller gaming.

I'm afraid I'm a bit boring when it comes to games on my phone 🫣

I have solitaire > Crosswords > Subway Surfers > Genshin Impact  > COD Mobile. 

Apart from that I own an Xbox X that I play RedDead Redemption² on.

Obviously screen size limitations are one factor with open world adventure style games. I am certainly going to evaluate and use the S25u for some gaming sessions and see how I go.

P.s. there is nothing boring about RDR2 by the way 😄

Did try Xbox game pass, it's very clever but won't use it enough

I use a backbone but the G8 Plus comes highly recommended and is much more substantial.
