Charging issues - multiple devices

Hi, I know a lot has been said about charging issues recentely and I wanted to share mine in case anyone has any tips or can understand any of this as I appreciate it seems like I'm lying haha.

In our household we have two S25+, tab S8+, Tab S6 lite and aTab A9.

Never had any issues with our S23+ or the other devices above.

However since me and my wife have had the S25+, every device has charging issues.

My wife's ending up going back for repair.

I bought brand new Samsung chargers today, two 15w ones and one 45w one. All came with cables.

The Tab S8 plus doesn't charge with any of them. Oddly the only charger that works is a 20w anker charger and an apple mac USB c cable.

The new chargers don't work on the A9 or S6 lite, the only chargers that work with those are old USB Samsung chargers. And even then it sometimes takes a restart of the tablet to work.

Since my wife's phone has been fixed by Samsung (no cable charging worked before) she's had no issues and gets super fast charging.

My S25 although chargers, it's always slow.

All the issues above started around February, prior to this every charger we had worked including Anker ones with Anker cables.

So weird, but all true.

Try gently cleaning the charging port(s) there might be some lint/fluff there

Thank you, this would make sense however it's 4 different devices with issues. So would be a bit too much of a coincidence

Have you used one particular charger with all of the devices at some point, maybe one of the chargers is dispersing too much voltage and damaging the ports.

I thought this maybe the case, but the brand new chargers direct from Samsung only received today don't work on any of the tablets. Just the two S25+

Keep wondering it's a recent update by Samsung or something

Some other ideas,  you could try a soft Reset by holding the volume up and Power keys simultaneously for more than 7 seconds till it Reboots. you canrun the Diagnostic tests within Samsung Members, go to Samsung Members-Support-Diagnostics and run the Test for Cable charging via Battery Status. If errors are highlighted on a Device  would need an inspection.

An idea to also try a USB reset USB reset.
Settings -Apps -Tap the 3 lines with the downward facing arrow, to the right of 'Your apps' -Show system apps (toggle this on) - OK - Scroll down, and tap on 'USBSettings' - Storage - Clear cache -Clear data, then restart your device.
if still no resolution run in Safe Mode and try charging, Sometimes can be an issue with some 3rd party apps which are disabled . Press and hold the Power Button until the Safe Mode option is displayed. More detail on troubleshooting here : https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/what-to-do-if-your-phone-is-not-charging/

However I am aware that in the past some customers found a solution to cable charging issues by wiping the cache partition. Steps as follows:
1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer or plug in USB-C Headphones , Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

if still no solution would need to contact Samsung Support.

Thank you, I've tried most of them on my tablet. But find it odd that we have 4 devices that all have charging issues and only recentely.

However I'll certainly try the above, especially the last one.

Check if the charging port is not wafered. Due to "alien" cables, the new devices tend to chip off (incorrect cables, moisture, humidity, even lints from pockets could do this) as cited by the Samsung guys. I had to get the port replaced, luckily was in warranty. Might be worth checking.

Weird isn't it! My wife's had to be sent back to Samsung to fix. Mine was taken to EE and they were amazing and fixed it in an hour!

My wife's occasionally still says moisture detected.

Definitely not something right with the S25.
