When I download a .pdf and open it through Firefox or My Files it just prompts me to install MobiOffice, there is no option to do other than install.
I tried to "open with" through My Files, but it just leaps into the same install MobiOffice screen, I get no option to choose another app.
I tried to find MobiOffice on my phone to clear default filesassociations, but the program is no where to be found.
I tried to go to apps - default apps but there is no option to choose anything like .pdf's or office apps.
I tried to open then file through File Commander, and set Foxit (my preferred) as "open always". Doesn't work, still I am presented with the only option to install MobiOffice.
I've spent the best of an hour now, googling going through threads and asking chatgpt for solutions - nothing works. Please help me here, this is f****** annoying since I use my phone professionally and setting default apps should be a simple task.

Hi @StevePek
Samsung Notes deals with PDF files. Installing Xodo PDF viewer might also change the default.
Have you tried booting on Safe mode and check if you are allow to change the file associations.
To boot on safe mode:
I suspect that you have installed an app which is forcing the install of MobiOffice. The safe mode might help isolate the app and uninstall it.
