Camera issue when zooming beyond 0.6x

Hi tried my camera for the first time at the weekend and anytime I try to zoom beyond 0.6x mysterious coloured perpendicular lines appear on screen/photos. Any idea what the issue is? I do have a lens cover but wouldn't have thought they would cause the lines?

Try clearing the camera cache via Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage > Clear Cache

Try a soft reset

A simple restart can often resolve temporary

display issues. Perform a soft reset by holding the Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously until the phone restarts. Then, check to see if the line reappears.

Book a samsung appointment. Looks like hardware issue I'm afraid.

This is permanent damage to the camera sensor, probably after being hit by a laser beam.
Can't be fixed with software, only after contacting Samsung Service Center you can fix it.
