Bye Bye

Well it's that time again where i say goodbye to the Samsung community. 

My 2 months with this overrated phone is enough to put any loyal Android fan off getting another. 

What a mess. So we have a gallery app then a one drive app and Google photos. Duplicate photos on alll of them and asking Microsoft for a simple button to remove them is like asking for a meeting with the pope. 

Next up. Software updates are slow to come through and yes I am on about the monthly security updates that seem to fix a few bugs then add more. They're not even getting them out at the start of the month but now in the middle. Pointless. 

Checking for updates across two app stores. Galaxy app store and Google play store. Then also going to settings then apps then looking for the Google apps and searching for them to manually update them. Also some are stuck on Feb Google play security update. 

Oh I definitely won't miss Samsung Keyboard or Samsung wallet which has now put everything in there for some stupid reason. 

Switching back to a more seamless and simpler experience with Apple. One Appstore one VPN One everything. Simple and always up to date and at least they push the same updates out to all there phones and if you don't want the next ios update you can just download the security patch for the ios system you're on. 

Won't miss this horrible community either. Who seem to hate everyone who's negative about samsung. 

Scroll through the community and it's just mainly issues with Samsung and the software yet you lot defend it. Android sucks.

If we put 5 mobile phone brands next to each other, I am sure we could see different pros and cons with all of them. Some will have nicer features which others don't. No phone will please everyone. For example, two things you mentioned- Samsung Wallet and Messages- I use both and love them.

Hopefully you will have a good experience with Apple and wish you well. I personally have not used an iPhone since the 4. I could list 100 things "wrong" with Apple which you might disagree with.

So, as long as a phone meets our needs, I guess that is all that matters. Wish you well.

You can't go wrong with an iPhone, Samsung makes a display for it . Personally, I'd wait for Samsung's first foldable iPhone. 🤭

(I am sorry you feel this way about our community. We do try our best to be helpful and we all are just here voluntary... not employees. It is however a Samsung community so our longer term members clearly will have a preference to Samsung. It doesnt mean we always agree with Samsung though... opinions are our own).

Unfortunately, just like apple samsung market share is also big. Whilst the company does release a lot of phones every year, updating them to the latest version can be difficult. And no company is perfect, and they have to test out the software before they release it. Or you could end up having bugs on your phone. It's just how Samsung phones are typically are. If you don't like any of bloatware you can always disable them. Or you switich to google pixel.
