Whenever I plug in my dongle into my S25 Ultra, a moment later I'm shown two apps. All I'm trying to do is listen to music, how do I stop this from happening?

This sometimes occurs when moving the dongle a lot while it's plugged.

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community.

This is very strange—if you click "always," it should stop asking, no? As to why it doesn't, it doesn't make much sense. What device are you using?

I'm using the S25 Ultra, I got it a couple days ago. The dongle I'm using is the "Venture Eletronics Devastator". I went ahead and clicked 'always' and now it opens Gemini whenever I plug in, which is more annoying tbh.1740174214058.jpg

Usb headphones can have a button on them that does play pause and stuff. This button can also summon the voice assistant. It seems your specific dongle always triggers the voice assistant when you first plug it in. Seems like a dongle thing more than a phone issue

This is very strange behavior. I'm hoping this wasn't bought from Temu/AliExpress—it's weird it's asking to open apps. Test by plugging in another USB-C item; if nothing happens, it may be time to grab a different adapter.

I think I figured out what's happening. When it's plugged it activates the play/pause button which triggers the voice assistant prompt to appear. I went into Developer options -> Show key presses and was able to confirm that.

To add onto this, I tried using my dongle with a pair of earphones that had volume controls. The voice assistant prompt didn't show up. Now I just need know how to disable the activation of voice assistant via microphone

Turns out that's exactly what's happening. Its partly a headphone issue as well, I tried using headphones that had volume controls, the voice assistant prompt never showed up. Is there a way to disable the activation of the assistants via wired connection?
