Does anyone know what the NaverSports notifications is under the AlwaysOnDisplay and what is the difference between it and Sports from Google and how is in showing under the AOD notifications but not the live bar notifications and does this prevent "sports from google" from working and prevent it from appearing in the live notification settings?

It sounds like you're dealing with a common issue related to sports notifications on Samsung devices, especially with the "Now Bar" feature and Always On Display (AOD). Here's a breakdown:
NaverSports vs. Sports from Google
* NaverSports: This is a South Korean sports platform. If you're seeing NaverSports notifications, it's likely because your device is either set to a Korean region, or you have Naver-related apps installed that are providing these notifications. Samsung has been working on integrating third-party apps like Naver Sports into their "Now Bar" feature, especially in One UI 7. It focuses on providing updates on subscribed teams via Naver's "My Team" and supports sports like soccer, baseball, basketball, and volleyball.
* Sports from Google: This is Google's native sports notification service. It integrates with your Google app and provides live scores and updates for teams and leagues you follow within the Google app. This is the more common option for users outside of Korea.
Why you're seeing NaverSports on AOD but not "live bar notifications" (Now Bar)
The "Now Bar" is a feature on Samsung devices (especially with One UI 7) that provides real-time updates and information in a compact bar on your lock screen and AOD.
* Regional Differences and Integration: Samsung has been expanding the "Now Bar" to support various apps. While "Sports from Google" is a primary integration for many regions, NaverSports is specifically being integrated for users in South Korea. It's possible your device or its settings are leaning towards the NaverSports integration, even if you're not explicitly using Naver.
* Recent Updates: Samsung has released AOD updates (like version 8.8.43.2) that specifically address issues with "Nowbar Naver Sports." This indicates that NaverSports is indeed designed to show on the AOD.
* "Live Bar Notifications" vs. AOD: The AOD is a broader display of information when your screen is off. The "Now Bar" is a specific type of "live notification" that appears on the AOD and lock screen. If NaverSports is showing on AOD, it implies it's configured to work with the Now Bar, but there might be a hiccup in how it's displaying or if "Sports from Google" is taking precedence.
Does this prevent "Sports from Google" from working or appearing?
Yes, it absolutely can. Here's why:
* Conflicting Services: If your device is set up to prioritize or is defaulting to NaverSports for live updates, it can conflict with "Sports from Google" trying to provide similar information.
* One UI "Now Bar" Settings: The "Now Bar" settings in your Samsung's Lock screen and AOD menu allow you to select which services provide live notifications. If NaverSports is enabled or preferred, it might prevent "Sports from Google" from appearing there.
* Troubleshooting "Sports from Google": Many users have reported issues with "Sports from Google" not reliably appearing on the Now Bar. Common solutions involve:
* Clearing cache and data for the Google app.
* Toggling "Search personalization" in Google app settings.
* Ensuring "Web & App Activity" is turned on in Google app settings.
* Unfollowing and re-following teams in the Google app.
* Checking notification settings within the Google app and device settings to ensure sports notifications are enabled.
* Making sure power-saving modes are not interfering with background activity.
In summary:
You're likely seeing NaverSports due to regional settings or a recent Samsung update that has enhanced its integration with the AOD/Now Bar. This can indeed interfere with "Sports from Google" appearing on the Now Bar. You'll need to check your device's "Now Bar" settings and Google app notification settings to manage which sports service takes precedence.
