Hey there

Samsung have been clear in that AI will remain free until the end of this year. After that we are expecting there to be two levels of AI:

1. Basic AI functions will remain free.

2. Enhanced AI will come as a subscription service.

If you look at Google for an idea, they charge £18.99 a month or it comes packaged with their 2TB storage option in Google One.

There's no definite answer for this as of now. I imagine that, as time goes on, just as today, there will be paid versions for advanced AI tools. For generic use, it is currently free on Samsung devices; however, I recall seeing a small tag (small text) mentioning free use until 2025. Whether this is merely a suggestion is another question. Officially, Samsung hasn't shared any indication of wanting to charge for these features.

Included in the footnote/ mini disclaimer. "Galaxy Al features will be provided for free until the end of 2025 on supported Samsung Galaxy devices," the footnote reads. "Different terms may apply for Al features provided by third parties.

Different terms may apply for Al features provided by third parties. This would indicate that some features rely on Gemini advanced. So there's likely to be a charge in the future.

That a fair way to do it imo. AI cost money and resources to process in the cloud. I will be happy just with the in phone AI features as I am not the greatest user of AI anyway.
