My accessibility shortcut to enable reading mode keeps turning itself off. Super annoying as I have to keep going back into the settings to re-enable it! Has this happened to anyone else if so have you managed to find a solution! Thanks

Hi! Try this.

Settings- appa- click the 3 lines with the arrow- turn on show System apps- then search accessibility- make sure all permissions are granted

*do the same for any other apps linked
*Battery is set to unrestricted, should be as it should grey out the other options
*allow all permissions

Then- force stop- restart device.

Looking online Im seeing this occure to others so Im unsure if this is normal or a glitch. Be sure to go to samsung members app- support- feedback1748385748935.jpg1748385748951.jpg

Thank you. (It was already as you've said to doit), so I've force stopped and restared. Will let you know how it goes. I've also uninstalled and re installed the reading mode app, and given it full unrestricted battery access. Hopefully it works. Thanks again

  • This issue started for me last month with the one ui7 update. I'm legally blind and that update has me looking to switch away from Samsung. It's been terrible.

Were you ever able to find a solution?

I have the same issue on my S24 Ultra since the UI 7 update.

I've made my own thread about it here:

Unfortunately no. None of the above suggestions helped me and it's very problematic! The ui7 update impacted several of my accessibility features negatively and Samsung didn't seem to prioritize my concerns. I'm actually considering switching brands because of this.

Sorry to hear that you're still having issues, I'm still having them too. No idea why someone in the Samsung software team hasn't picked this up?!

I've confirmed that the issue is linked with the game booster mode, search in settings. There's options for where to put the menu and everything, I've disabled as much as I could, even going into to view system apps and disabling the game booster app to not display overtop. It doesn't help, and after closing a mobile game, it clears my accessibility navbar button. Same thing happening on my S24 Ultra and tab s8+. Don't open a mobile game and it will stay lol.
