Hey all,

I have been trying for a week to emulate super fast charging 2.0 without success on my S25U.
I have been using 65W and 45W bricks, multiple cables (3A and 5A), but phone is only charging with fast charge when I plug it in.

Anyone has a clue why this is happening?
I've seen multiple YT videos where the S25U can charge with Super Fast Charging 2.0. My device can't.

I would appreciate some feedback from people with same issue.

Hello,

Why do you think you dont get the maximum speed? Do you have a screenshot?

Wireless charging is possible with a maximum of 15W. If you want to charge extra fast, the fastest way is with a Samsung Super Fast Charging 25W charger. After half an hour of charging, your empty battery is already 60 percent full. With fast chargers from other brands, you can reach 40 percent in the same time.

The maximum charge is depending of wich model.

4000 mAh, 25 watt

Samsung Galaxy S25
Plus: 4900 mAh, 45 watt

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra: 5000 mAh, 45 watt

I asked about wired charging. Not wireless.

And it says super fast charger connected meaning you get the max speed of 45W.

It charges with subpar speed. All other youtubers are getting their full in less than 50 minutes with same configuration. Plus, when I connect my phone, it doesn't show " super fast charging 2.0". It only says "fast charging"

When im charging it only says charging but im getting the max speed. I use a 5a cable + 45w speed. It may say an hour and 10 min but it only takes 45 ish min, maybe faster. That 1h 10min is an estimate.

So this is what Fast Charging, Super Fast Charging and Super Fast Charging 2.0 looks like, according to Samsung themself.

This information is from this Samsung page, be it in Dutch:

https://www.samsung.com/nl/support/mobile-devices/de-juiste-opladers-voor-jouw-galaxy/

Look for: Wat voor soort oplader moet ik gebruiken?

Fast Charging max 15W fast charging, shows Green color in charging animation when connecting the charger

Super Fast Charging max 25W super fast charging, shows Teal color in charging animation when connecting the charger

Super Fast Charging 2.0 max 45W super fast charging, shows Dark Blue color in charging animation when connecting the charger

The mentioned colors is from my own observation and various sources around the internet.

Also, under: Settings - Battery you can see what is the charging-state at the moment of charging, see screenshot.

So as you can see, I'm charging my Galaxy S25 Ultra with 45W "Super Fast Charging 2.0". This is with an Ugreen 65W charger, and Belkin 1.8 meter 5A USB-C cable.
I used this combo to show that you don't NEED an Samsung 45W (or 65W) charger and Samsung 5A Cable to make it work! But I do highly recommend the original Samsung 45W Charger with 1.8 meter 5A cable (in the box).

I can reproduce this with my Samsung 45W charger, Samsung 65W charger, Belkin 65W charger, and said Ugreen 65W charger all of which are PD 3.0 chargers.

I used the official 1.8 meters 5A USB-C cable from Samsung (which came with the Samsung 45W charger) and I used the 1.8 meters 5A cable from Belkin (which comes with the Belkin 65W charger).

What doesn't work is using my Macbook Pro 70W USB-C charger. When I use that charger it only gives me Fast Charging at 15W, that's because the Macbook Pro charger uses different (proprietary) PD (Power Delivery) protocols.

For the 45W charging to work you need an charger that uses the PD (Power Delivery) 3.0 and/or Direct Charging standards.

But don't take my word for it, here is what the official Samsung 45W Charger page has to say about it:

https://www.samsung.com/nl/mobile-accessories/45w-power-adapter-black-ep-t4511xbegeu/

Translated text under the picture in English:

* Super Fast Charging (SFC) 2.0 requires a USB Power Delivery (PD) 3.0-compatible device that supports Direct Charging. Devices that do not support USB Power Delivery 3.0 standard or Direct Charging will charge at a slower rate than SFC speed. Charging speed varies based on usage patterns, conditions, connected devices, and other factors. Charging performance may vary depending on model, cable quality, and environment. For best results, use genuine Samsung 5A cables in the original box. Compatibility with other devices may be expanded in the future.

And for some reason (bug) there is an odd charging issue at the moment with the new Galaxy S25 Ultra and Super Fast Charging 2.0 for some users, which I personally cannot reproduce. I have two different (model-numbers) Samsung 45W chargers and they charge just fine. My Samsung 65W Charger also charges fine, my Belkin 65W charger and the earlier mentioned Ugreen 65W Charger all work fine with my Galaxy S25 Ultra. So that is an odd one for me.

Peace & Β ωild!
