Hi guys

I've noticed when moving my phone back and forth it feels like it's vibrating or moving soemthing internally. Best way I can explain this is system sound vibration when you press on something except I don't have that on.

Anyone experiencing same issue?

The only noise I know is normally a tapping sound when you move the phone back and forth.
This will be the camera module. It has optical image stabilisation and when it's not being used will move around freely making the noise.
If it's anything different, without experiencing it. Will be difficult to help here.
You may have to get it looked at
But I can't think what else it would be in the phone that could make a sound

YES I think it's more like tapping sound. Idk why I only noticed it today when I was playing around with the camera settings. That's a bit annoying tho. Especially now that I've noticed it, I can't unhear it haha

You will find all flagship smartphones do this
For instance my S24 Ultra does. IPhone 15 Pro Max and Google Pixel 7 Pro to name a few
Just a thing all lager smartphone camera lenses do.
Nothing to worry about, but it's recommended not to keep shaking the phone like this in case any issues arise

Is there anything I can do to make it less noticeable? Earlier today I didn't notice it at all. Only when I played around with my camera settings and downloaded camera assistant that it's become so prominent.

Mine barely makes a noise while in my pocket and it's not something that should be noticeable without explicitly shaking it pretty harshly and near your ear. If it rattles that loud in your pocket, I'd say you might need to get that checked.

Dear, Let me inform you as a common experienced Samsung user (Pakistan). This sound is dangerous (in terms of future camera working/quality concerns). There can be many reason, It is a huge Quality Control (QC) failure of s24 ultra (especially camera section). I would advise to return s24ultra (as soon as possible), and all other ultra Samsung (s23,s22 etc.) phone who are facing same sound issue.
Why I said so? Because its a quality/logic permanent issue (hardware issue). If you will get your module replaced. It will give you relief for sometime, however, it will happen again after some time. If your phone has heating issue (trapped heat in phone, which can not be felt by normal human interaction), it will cause high probability to happen that sound too.
This issue in Samsung flagship phones (especially galaxy ultra family) is a long (old days issue). Samsung failed to control this issue already.
For example: s6egde+/s24ultra, and many others....

Many customer reported it already in YouTube as well.
Camera Sensor will lose its worth to take quality pictures (in short period of time). Also, it will shake in the near future while taking high brightness/normal focused pictures. In worst cases, it even gives sound every time when camera APPs opens/close.

The camera modules which are based on Vietnam models with model version (B), usually have issues. Get US, international version, south Korean version of ultra phones (where QC problem can be lower).

Even after software update, this sound problem will remain there. Try to run, and wait for s25ultra (in case Samsung learns to deliver honest quality product of camera hardware). Samsung should do proper investigation why they always manufacture faulty camera modules.

Even worse thing is that, if your camera focus/sound issue would occur after warranty. You have to pay for replacement. Even after replacement (can be with low quality sensor), after sometime, It will happen again. Its nonstop able issue. Return phones and save yourself from depressions and money/time loss.

The same problem happened in iPhn 15 (reported first time in ap*le products) high end models too. But their problem was controlled at initial stage. However, iPhn15 is performing but not equal to its potential quality (compromised camera hardware and software combination).

My S24U started doing this today. 100% not coming from the camera. I'm pretty certain it's the vibration motor is falling apart.  I get loud clicking with every key tap and call/message buzzes sound like someone kicking a tin can.

Hey, same thing happened to me now to, there's the standard camera noise when you shake it, but also now whenever the vibration motor triggers (On Notifications or Alarms) there's a loud rattling noise so i think its failing to . Did you solve you're issue or did you contact Samsung about it ?

indeed when using 5x camera the rattling disappears.

however i cam here because i my s24u gives random vibration feedback all hy itself, even tho nothing is happening (no notifications or anything). even after restarting the phone it kept happening
