Hey everyone. I've been researching for a new phone and decided on the S24 Ultra. I was about to purchase it when I read about this battery drain issue. Now I'm having second thoughts about this phone. I assume Samsung is aware of this problem. Have they made any statements about it? Have they offered any hope of being able to fix this? The battery drain concerns me, but even more so the reports of overheating. TIA for any information you could give me.

I have the S24 Ultra and find the battery to be fantastic.
On a full battery I can get 10 hours streaming TV, half an hour of calls and a further couple of hours or more SOT before it drains.
For more average use, can get 1.5 to 2 days on full charge.
Just my experience and I got my device on release day back in January.

Hey @Bernie_Volpicelli 👋
Battery Stats is very much a subjective topic as we all set up our phone's differently, and use different apps and use them differently.
Personally I easily get a full days usage out of my phone ,with some change left in the battery.
I power up at 5am and power down at 21:00.
I suffer absolutely no overheating on my Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra, which js on the very latest software version.
I in no way suggest some are not experiencing issues, however these issues can be attributed to many different scenarios.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Hi @Bernie_Volpicelli , hope you enjoy your time on the Community
Whilst some Members have had issues with Battery drain it is not universal (a number find Battery life impressive) and to an extent can depend on useage patterns and settings.
please note though that the AI learning phase generally takes 7-10 days but it can be a bit longer, Battery life is lower during this period. Background Data and Always on Location will drain more Battery(if this is set for all apps). it is also best to put Apps which are not used regularly into sleep Mode and you may wish to only have connections such as NFC,wIfi and Bluetooth running when necessary.
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
