I've received the OneUI 7 update yesterday - well, some goods and bads. Unfortunately, there are quite a number of UX issues, and not just the everything was better in the old days types.

Has anyone else noticed that the calendar widget (Samsung Calendar app) behaves differently now? If you tap on the header, then a new event is created all the time and it cannot be used as a shortcut to open the app or the agenda screen?

It is super annoying, as now it takes way more time to locate the icon and start the app, or close the new appointment popup. In version 12.5, the header had an upcoming events section that led to the calendar screen, and a + icon in the corner to create a new event. Apart from the flashy new (quite bland) icon, 12.6 is quite a step-back with regards to usability, especially the widget. The layout has changed as well with more spacers between lines wasting screen real estate, so way less events are visible, etc.

Could we have the old behaviour back somehow?

Of course this oneUI release is as it is... with its current configuration.

It has been beta tested and feedback provided during the process.

If you have any comments like you have written then please use the members app area....

Support - Send Feedback.

This will then be evaluated by samsung and assessed.

I use Swipe for navigation and so just swipe away the pop up to create a new event.

Annoying. Yes. But that's my work around for now.

I feel One UI 7 is more of a work in progress and people should give Feedback via the Samsung Members APP Support Tab > Feedback.
