Since Samsung have never failed to update any of my previous 15 or so Samsung devices to the latest promised android build, I'm going to go out on a limb and say, yes it most definitely will get OneUI 8 or whatever they name the next major update.
If you can provide me a history of Samsung failing to update their phones or other android devices to the expected/promised level of support, I'd be very interested to know.
Google are simply grandstanding their position by serial releasing major Android updates 6 monthly now instead of their usual yearly cadence. It's simply a marketing means of drawing more hype to continue selling more phones, naturally. Considering their sales position, lack of hardware parity and authority in the OS itself, it's an obvious way to consolidate their position, so as to remain relevant in the mobile phone space. The fact that Google will be working on beta versions of their new OS solely, without other manufacturers input will cement this idea of being "ahead of the curve" even further.
In the long run, I see these rushed OS updates as being pointless data dumps which will more than likely offer little substance with each iteration. In the end, this will very likely fragment the Google Play Store terribly, and likely force less refined improvements to OneUI going forward.
