Notifications not showing in lock screen

Anyone know why my notifications aren't showing up on my lock screen I've set everyone as I should but it's not showing

Didn't work...the icon came and I had changed it to that. Came up only as the icon. Tried to screen shot but it opened the screen when I tried.

make sure you get notifications at first. Check that your notifications are shown in notifications menu. Because this is the widget only, at first your notifications must be turned on. 

Oh, I get your problem now. Its how it supposed to be. It only shows icon (that you received notification) and WHEN you touch your screen - it shows what is written in that notification. I have had a problem where my screen would be black with no icon or notification shown until I unlock my phone and that was frustrating. AOD wont show you whats in that notification, it will only show you that you received one. To read it just "wake" the screen when you select "Details" menu.  Thats maximum you can do now.

There is a setting on my Samsung Watch that magically switched to "Mute notification on phone". As soon as I turned that off, I started getting the notification on my phone when it was locked...
I went to the Samsung folder on my phone
Selected the Wearable App "Wear"
Watch settings > Notifications > Mute notifications on phone (slide off)
