I've had my phone a couple of weeks and today is the first time I've had an issue with it. The on/off button is not raised through the phone cover. I took the cover off to find the button wasn't as protruding as the volume button

I've had a look at my Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra and the volume button is a touch more recessed than the volume rocker @tracy1207

This is normally so an owner can tell by touch which button is what.

Which cover are you using ?

I ask because a Samsung made cover should be precise,  but ³rd party cases may not be as precision cut for the buttons.

However if your concerned especially if the volume button is not standing proud of the phone housing enough to be able for it to be pressed then......

If your within your initial cooling off period then have the phone swapped out @tracy1207

If your past this stage then I'd suggest to seek support from the outset that supplied the phone and kr use a Samsung Service Centre or Samsung Experience Store.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Thank you for responding. It's a Samsung cover. The buttons fit perfectly and were both accessible, now I have to poke around to switch the phone on.
I'll get in touch with Samsung as I bought the phone direct from them.
Thanks again

As Band of Brothers stated, the On/Off button is slightly more recessed than the volume rocker.  I never noticed that until now and I'm going to sleep just fine tonight.

Apart from this aesthetic issue, does the On/Off button work as it's supposed to, or do you have to keep pressing it to achieve your desired results?

It works but barely. It definitely was fitting better into the phone case a couple of days ago which is why I noticed having to dig around to turn the phone on. Thankfully the phone is still under guarantee, I have an appointment to get it fixed
