Microphone not working

Hello, the other day I had my phone in my coat pocket and it was raining heavily. Since then my microphone hasn't been working on any voice recording on multiple apps (WhatsApp, snapchat, messenger and voice notes). I'm unsure whether water has got into my microphone as I've had a issue with my microphone in the past but it resolved itself. What I don't understand is the microphone works find during calls. All permissions are on, no case is blocking my mic and there is no debris visible. Any suggestions on what to try to resolve the issue?

Sorry to hear of your issues.

Please start by running a diagnostics test. Go to Samsung Members App and run diagnostics from there to see if the microphone is showing a fault.

(If it is working for calls, I suspect it won't show an issue but one option at a time 👍)

Hello it's showing an issue with what appears to be my bottom speaker. It's working fine for calls and videos but it's silent on voice notes

Yes it mentions removing phone case, turn it off, put into safe mode etc but nothing has worked so far. I'm.just backing everything up to see if a factory reset will work 🤞🏻
