I'm having strange on/off issues with my microphone on my s24 ultra when trying to record voice/audio notes for messages. Its not picking up my voice, or any sound for that matter on text, WhatsApp or even in the actual sound recorder. Works if I open the camera and record a video. Sometimes works on Google to search, sometimes doesn't, that sometimes seems to kick it up the ***** into working again but not every time. My settings haven't changed, it just started Sunday very randomly. It'll not work for a few hours and then it'll be ok, and then not work again, then be ok again. 🤷🏻🤦🏻 I have double checked the settings for the permissions etc.... I've turned the phone on and off, I've even reset the phone(not factory reset) even uninstalled WhatsApp and reinstalled it. Any body else having or had something similar? TIA

Cheers mate, really appreciate the help. I've done it and tried the voice notes, its workes 3 out the 4 times ao far, so we'll see. I've got an engineer booked for Monday, so I'll see how I get on over the coming days.

No problem...

Try this too, I was gonna send but waited for your reply.

Also in *settings*, select *magnify glass 🔍*, type in *microphone* in the search bar, select *microphone access*, and ensure *microphone* is turned *ON* (If you use your camera that needs to be turned on too (might be already), to allow your camera to function).

If sensors is turned on, apps like whatsapp, telegram, recorder, camera WILL NOT WORK.

RULE:
Camera and Microphone ON
Sensors OFF
(Vice versa to stop apps from accessing when not in use)

Hope the engineer resolves, let me know.

I have 24 Ultra too. Have avoided using since I purchased in March as I love my 8 Plus too much lol. I'm using this week, appears to be okay but don't like having to use Nearby Connection with most apps...nonsense 🙄😁

I love samsung technology and have had several over the years. Even ventured into a samsung washing machine once 😂 bit since I've had this. It's been nothing but issues. I previously had a Huawei p30, and I had that for over 6 years until it was wornand the battery wouldn't, 10hours without needing go on charge but I never had any issues with it overall. Best phone I had. Even the battery on this is pants tbf. But I really appreciate your help, ill have a look at the above message when I finish work.

Huawei is really good.

The battery can be extended, you need to take the time out and go into each app and turn stuff off of you don't use. You will be amazed how much is switched on especially for apps you don't use but is using your battery.

Go to *Security and Privacy*, scroll down to *More Privacy Settings*, select *Permission Manager* and select Body Sensors, Calendar, Call Logs working your way through each one (as in also selecting each app) and deselect stuff you don't use as in *DON'T ALLOW*.. it's a time consuming process but will give you more battery life.

Example, there are 52 apps using your camera, all.apps don't need access to your camera!!!

I haven't charged my phone in 3 days, it's currently on 53% (however I am a light user)
