Latest S24 ULTRA (sorry for omission) update (2025-08-01) reset app zoom to 300%

I downloaded the 1 August 2025 Security patch on 11 August, and almost every app has had its default zoom changed to 300%.
This is WAYYY TOO BIG to view apps properly.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this, as constantly manually changing this zoom level to 100% is extremely frustrating

Do you have a third party theme or app design.
Could be not compatible with the new software

Hi @WullyBoy 👋

Some apps or themes might be not optimised to new software update, do you use one? If so try without it. And see if it makes difference,

Another thing to do is adjust manually in settings like mentioned.

Other ways is to try wipe cache partition of your phone:
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/

You .ight need to plug your phone via USB to TV, other phone, laptop etc.

Soft reset: Press and hold volume down and power buttons simultaneously (for approximately 10 seconds till samsung logo appears and release it)

Other thing to do is go to settings > general management > reset > reset all settings it wont delete your data or pictures etc.

Screen zoom in settings/display is horizontal not vertical and is on the second lowest position. The zoom that keeps resetting itself to 300% is in the chrome web browser settings and does not affect EVERY APP.

My apologies, everyone. I didn't correctly identify my phone. It is an S24 Ultra, and as I have just found, going through the settings on the wife's S24, the zoom that is plaguing me does not exist on her phone. Build numbers on our phones is the same, and she has just downloaded the 1st,August Security Patch, which has done the damage on my phone.

Good morning,
I was going down the full reset route when I decided to play dumb and ask Google about the zoom problem, and I found the answer. The problem, following the chaos of my 1st August Security Update, was caused by a random (definitely not intended) change of the Chrome ACCESSIBILITY Zoom. This sets the zoom level for all Chrome tabs and websites, whereas the Settings/zoom only affects the current tab/website and tends to revert to whatever Accessibility zoom is set to afterwards.
