How do I stop the the pop up from happening every time I search something on google, it keeps coming up with my last search, it's annoying. It's only started recently?

Might be this setting in the Google app.

Long press on it and remove on the menu

Try settings > Google > all services > search, Assistant and voice > add personalisation > web and app activity turn it off.

Settings > Google > all services > search, Assistant and voice > search history > saving to Web and app activity > turn it off
