Can anyone explain some of the irritating issues I am facing with this ***** thing? Im currently using the samsung msg app as default because the mood app i was using has has issues for the past few months and they have yet to fix it. I dont like the google message app and i dont use the RCS option.
First, when i transferred the message history from my old app, it duplicated at least 50% of the messages i received from others, in a large number of the individual chat threads.
2nd, there are some people who have "dual" chat threads - one of them is everything I sent, the other is everything they sent. instead of it all being merged into a single chat like its supposed to be.
3rd, all of a sudden i have one person who is unable to receive my messages when at work. This only changed within the past week, never had an issue before. The messages will send, but they remain undelivered, He can still send ME messages the entire time and he still gets messages from anyone else. This issue is ONLY with me and only since last week. If he can still send me messages then obviously he has service and I am not blocked. Its infuriating at times and has caused some other issues due to not realizing this was happening.
Just today, for the first time instead of one message remaining on "sent" and not delivered, it gave the status as "sent as SMS via server" but then every message after that is still undelivered. He seems to have received that one since he just responded to it, but the 2 messages i sent after that are stuck on "sent"
As i said, this hasn't been a problem at any point in time but as of Friday last week, it is.
I dont want to have to delete the entire chat thread history and at this point im skeptical to try any other apps because everytime i try something new it finds a new way to f*ck things up.
