Does anyone use this phone without a case?

I have a Samsung S24+ and it's a great phone but who in their right mind would use this phone without a case? It's lovely to look at in the flesh but it's like trying to hold an eel - It's so smooth and slippy.

Why do mobile phone manufacturers continue to design and develop phone exteriors which look fantastic but are completely unusable without a case? Why pay a premium for titanium and other top grade materials which make the phone difficult to hold and more expensive?

Having had friend's who've dropped unprotected mobile phones and seen the resultant damage it really does make me wonder.

I agree, I have 3 different cases for my S24 ultra, work/home/travel. When I change them over I notice how super smooth it is & dropped on 2 occasions. Just make sure you change cases over a bed or sofa. Titanium is just a samsung gimmick as it's not gonna stop the weakest part, the screen from breaking.

I've the S24 Plus and I use mine without a case. If people have dry hands then these phones can be incredibly slippy. I'm lucky that I don't have dry hands and it feels really grippy. The flat sides help a lot I think. I'm perhaps lucky in the fact that if I do ever drop the phone and damage it. I'll just put my SIM cards into my backup phone, the S23 Ultra.

Curious, you have a 24 plus & a 23 ultra ?. What's your favourite, is there much difference. I sold my 21 ultra to purchase the 24 ultra.

I really like the S24 Plus because of its size and design with the flat sides. However the S23 Ultra is a fantastic phone. Really just too good to get rid of. Even though the developer option settings are the same and the two phones have the same RAM and storage. The S23 Ultra still seems a bit snappier. Whether that's to do with the Snapdragon vs the Exnos I couldn't be certain. Both phones are just faultless for me with no issues whatsoever.

Must admit I tried other brands, (I started with the Galaxy s9 note) then tried Huawei (big mistake). Back to samsung for quality & style. I love music & photography which I do a lot (retired last week) it saves me lugging my Canon s l r around.

I've stuck with Samsung since the Galaxy S2. I did try the iPhone 13 last year to see what all the fuss is about. Within a week I'd put it up for sale on Ebay. I just couldn't stand it. Samsung have the best displays and with One UI, it's just the best for me.
You being a photographer I'm surprised you didn't like the Huawei. I thought they had great camera's! What was your reason for disliking them?
Just viewed your profile and posts. Your pictures are breathtaking.

Agree on the huaweii camera but Huawei was in the news a lot not long after I got it for snooping, blackmail, espionage, kicked out of Canada etc etc. They were even refused the contract for 5g in the UK for mistrust. Yes decent camera but at least I discovered samsungs.
