I bought my s24 Ultra about two weeks ago and it has been amazing, really happy with my purchase, however...

On two occasions, I have plugged in my charger and the phone has not started charging!! Nothing has come up on the screen, I have taken the cable in and out multiple times, flipped it over (which should make no difference anyway) and still no joy. To solve it I have had to restart the phone, after that it has been fine but I am a little worried about this, hopefully just a bug that can get sorted but I do have that little thought in the back of my head of 'what happens if restarting doesn't work in future'.

Could be an issue with the charging lead.
I've found some leads can be unreliable.
Not sure why restarting would make the difference.

Just in case it maybe worth wiping the Partition Cashe on the phone. Takes about a minute so an easy thing to do.
Might make a difference and worth a try.
But do try the lead that came with the phone if you are not using it.

It obviously charges, so seems logically like a software glitch

Other brand. Anker but I've only had galaxies for the past 6 years and have never experienced this before

I reckon it must be software, mainly for the need of a restart to sort it out!!

Wiping the Partition Cashe clears out a lot of old or corrupted information that can cause issues

Follow the steps below. You must follow every step and you should be done in about a minute

Turn off your phone.

Connect your phone with a USB cable
to PC or another Samsung mobile

You will see the charging icon on your screen.
Wait till it shows charging with battery percentage.

Next, press and hold the Volume up and Side key simultaneously.
You can press the volume up button just before the Side key.
The Samsung Logo followed by
Samsung Galaxy appears on the
screen.

At this point, release the keys
Phone will boot into Android Recovery mode

In Android recovery mode, using Volume keys, choose "Wipe Cache
Partition" .
Use the power button to accept that.
You will then see its cleared.

You can also go into repair apps before going into rebooting

Then the top option, reboot phone.
Press the power button to reboot the phone and then sign in normally

I've had the same just once. Restarted device and fine since.

S24 Ultra with Samsung 25w charger and Samsung cable. Think it was a one off.

I've got the same 25w charger. I thought mine was only going to be a one off, until it happened twice... Thanks for posting though, glad to know I'm not alone... 👍
