Charging issue

Anyone have this issue when their s24 ultra is switched off the phone won't charge it will say water damage (pic will come up of a hazard sign) but when the phone is switched on it charges fine.

What charger are you using? Does this behaviour occur with other chargers? Maybe try another known working cable too.

I charge my Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra overnight with the phone powered down , and haven't experienced this issue. 

It could be some form of glitch that might be resolved via > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's } 

Do try another charging brick and cord, and try a wireless chargering pad / stand as a troubleshooting step. 

Also use a torch to shine inside the phone's charging port just to ensure there's no built up of debris / lint inside. 

If this does not resolve the issue then please run the diagnostic tool found in your Samsung Members App. 

You can also send feedback via your Samsung Members App. 

A Samsung Service Centre can assess your phone if necessary.

Genuine samsung adapter and cable. Only happens when phone is switched off

The funny thing is that it charges fine while the phone is on. When powered off it won't charge at all. So if there was any debris in the charging port then I assume I would get this message all the time and it won't charge
