I'm reaching out because I know there are some skilled photographers in here and I could use some assistance. I want to take pictures in 4K, but I'm unsure how to change the settings on my camera. Can someone please help me?

Pictures are measured in megapixels, 4k is usually used to explain resolution in video recordings.

To change the resolution of images, it's the number at the top of the screen. It should say 12 or 12m by default. Pressing it allows you to increase the resolution.

Even 12 megapixels are measured above 4K; as mentioned, this is a measurement for videos, not pictures.

Do you mean you are wanting to take a 4k (8MP) 16:9 aspect ratio crop of the 4:3 12MP pixelbin which is the camera standard?

If it you are just after better resolution quality, I would select the highest MP available for your chosen lens in ExpertRaw which depending on your model can vary and stay on 4:3. Eg. S25U can do 200MP on the 1x and 50MP on the 0.6x & 5x, S24U 50MP on the 1x & 5x and 12MP on the 0.6x. Please note if you do digitally zoom in past this these will auto drop to 12MP, I personally avoid this and just crop in post to retain as much quality/flexibility as possible.

You can simply record a video at 4k and take still frames from the footage to get 4k pictures. However I'd recommend you stick to the standard 12MP camera in photo mode as these are much higher resolution and thus far better fidelity and quality photos than those 4k ones. The question I have is your purpose for wanting 4k photo's as this is somewhat unusual? The main camera on smartphones has far exceeded 8MP (a typical 4k image) since the Galaxy S4 series and onwards (the Galaxy S3 had an 8MP main camera).
