Oh well it was inevitable after upgrading. It's probably teething troubles. Just noticed the battery percentage has disappeared, noticeable because the new one is ugly, but still useful. All the settings are for it to be displayed. I have restarted the phone so it's not that. Also the alarm clock icon is not displaying either

Fix found for my phone...

I have the same battery percentage missing issue on my S24U. It appears at boot for a few seconds and then disappears. It appears to be an issue with the app "Good Lock". I uninstalled Good Lock and the battery icon and percentage immediately reappeared.

After more testing, and reinstalling Good Lock, my icon disappeared again. I went to the QuickStar extension of Good Lock and the toggle for battery percentage was off. I toggled it back on and the percentage reappeared and persists. This is also the place to remove/restore other status bar icons like location, alarm, NFC, etc.

S24+ just upgraded and I can't get it to show the battery percentage anywhere. I made sure the toggles were set to on and restarted my phone but no luck. Can we fix this please!!!

You should be able to display battery percentage if you go to the battery settings, either from phone settings or Device Care > battery > show battery percentage

This is the link, Samsung explains how to do it.
On my S24U it only works with USB C to USB C cable and I connect it to another Samsung phone.
